Editorial standards
Publishing workflow
Every page moves through: draft → factual review → safety review (where needed) → editorial approval → SEO checks → publication. Each page shows its owner, reviewer, last update, and sources.
Safety boundaries
We don't publish homeowner instructions for:
- Hazardous disassembly
- Live electrical testing
- Gas connections, valves, or burners beyond basic cleaning
- Refrigerant or sealed-system work
- Anything inside a microwave cabinet
Pricing claims
We only publish cost ranges when we can state their source, date, geography, and what they include. Otherwise we explain the factors behind a quote.
Independence
Providers can't pay for changes to guidance. We don't publish fabricated reviews, testimonials, or case studies, and we never caption stock photos as our technicians, customers, or jobs.
Local pages
We publish a state or city page only when it has verified, useful local information. A location page is not proof that providers are available there — the ZIP check is.
